Another attempt at writing a solo.  With this one I used the  power of my DAW to amp up the solo as the backing track intensified. I used 4 separate tracks and added different effects on each track. I automated various points in the recording so the fade and mute capabilities would change the dynamics of the solo to match the intensity of the BT.

Hey that was awesome!

Did you compose every note and phrase, or how did you create the solo?

Creative imagery and a bit frightening 😀

I like your bends. Lots of very cool bends! Hanging on bent notes like - I dig it.

Towards the end, 2:07, you bent into a note over and over - killer concept! See, that repetition gets our attention. Well done Craig!

Thanks Robert. Yes I created the solo note for note. It took many takes to unfold to the crescendo at the repeating bend. I think it turn out well.

Were you able to memorize all of it exactly? I have tried that a few times and it's hard to not stray from the plan!

@robert I agree, it is difficult to keep to the plan. I seem to recall there was a couple of moments where I   added an unexpected note. 😄.  They seemed to fit in so I kept going.  That's usually my method when constructing a solo. When I reach a point where I  can remember 90% I'm generally happy with the result.
