What an amazing new lesson, Robert, you published on your Youtube Channel. Great how you took ascending and descending 16th note patterns from your former lesson  « Cascading pentatonic runs - YL35 » and combined them with bluesy and tasty 8th note triplet ideas and bends to get a different rhythmic structure and a really melodic line. I’m delighted.

All the additional information is also very helpful: how to combine different patterns to get a good sounding melody, how to focus on note displacement or trying a pattern with triplets instead, and so on.

You said that you learned a lot from the New York guitarist Oz Noy. I haven’t heard about him, but I’ll check him out.

Will this lesson also be available for us here at MGA?

Annotation: This question just has become superfluos. But just want to mention that the lesson and the lesson files can be found on the bottom of the « Member Page »  « restructuring YT lessons ».

Thanks a lot,

Birgit

Glad you liked it. Yes it is available, and I have several camera angles in the Soundslice view.

I am starting to put these YT lessons under this course - https://www.masterguitaracademy.com/course/youtube-member-lessons/

You mention "at the bottom of the page". For me, it's at the top of the page. What browser and system are you using?

On my PC I’m using Windows 10 and the Chrome browser. When I go to the Member Page I see my „bookmarks“ first at the top of the page. When I scroll down to the bottom of the page, I find the „restructuring  YT lessons“ and all the other lessons.

But, Robert, I’ve just seen that I can also find your « Youtube lessons » under  « Courses » at the top of the page. Everything ok.

Birgit

@Robert, this is an excellent added value and practical adaptation of the 4 note pattern YL-35.  I really enjoy the creative advice on mixing and contrasting triplets and four note patterns as well as when to start the run.

Frankly, this is more help with my less than acceptable bend  vibrato (aka the sound of a dying cat).

And I think the Zep t-shirt is a crucial element of getting the sound right.

Way to go on this lesson!
