It’s dawn. Soon I’ll be starting a marathon. I am nervous about today because the temperature is quite high. Way too high to run a marathon, at least for me.
So perhaps I will suffer greatly and gather material for a good blues tune. Or I will do OK and then I can celebrate by going to the Edmonton blues festival.
Either way, I’d better get going because the sun is rising above the horizon. The time to suffer has come.

It was the worst marathon I’ve ever done. These old legs didn’t hold up but at least I finished. 😋

Congratulations, Robert! Even if you couldn’t reach your time goal, you finished 😊. That’s soooo important mentally 👍.
From my own hobby marathon experience I know that giving up is a «sweet poison», but showing nerves of steel is what makes a real fighter.
