I have a 30 minutes set at the local film festival, between films. People will be having refreshments while I entertain.

I'm still working on it, but I think I will use a looper pedal and jam away on 3-4 songs... I use my Line 6 M9 for this  - it's small and sounds great into my little Pro Junior amp.

I'm going to play Happy ("clap along if you feel...") and With or Without You (U2) and Say You Won't Let Go by James Arthur. Pop songs in other words..

If it goes well, I shall try and teach you how I do it. If there is interest?

So no movie soundtrack recordings?? just live entertainment?? I always thought it would be cool to see a video that encapsulates a recording session over a soundtrack for a movie score.......definitely a different animal!! Definitely would be interested on this live recording bit though, RR!!

Sounds cool about teaching "parts" of a song.  I believe they can't get you for copyrights on that. The complete song, now that may get you into some trouble.

With or Without You- seems like there's a triad lesson in that one.  Hope it went well for you, Robert.

Perhaps I misunderstood Robert... I thought he was going to do a lesson on looping, which I would be up for!

I guess he might loop some triads and some song parts and 'cover' all 'three'! 😉

Hope the show went well. Looking forward to hearing about it.

I'm playing tonight. My plans for songs went out the window, once I tried them! Haha!

I'm going to jam and improvise instead... it's happening tonight.

And yeah, I can do a lesson on looping too. I should do more looping, it's fun and you learn a lot. I can tell my timing is NOT always great! A looper pedal very unforgiving, but that's good!
