Robert, what are the odd symbols below the staff in some of your tablatures? I thought they were related to picking technique but they don't appear to match the picking in the videos.

Those are indicating the note value - eight notes, quarter notes, etc. Which lesson is that? I think I have some lessons where the tab/notation uses this view. It's called "slash view" and it's part of Guitar Pro.

This was taken from "Chitlins Con Carne". That makes sense since the musical notation isn't there for the note values.
