Hey guys, I have revamped the Major Scale course and added several great lessons in there.

Go to  https://www.masterguitaracademy.com/course/the-major-scale/

Please go through it and let me know if anything is unclear! I tried to organize these lessons in a logical way but I'n not sure if I succeeded. You let me know?

I've been working this course for a little bit now, and work on it most every day. I have one and two down pretty good, and working on three. On one, I can pretty much play right along with Robert. Two is a a bit more of a struggle, but gaining on it. Great finger exercises as well! Probably take a while to work through it's entirety, but I'm game. This is a lesson we should all tackle...Will

Hey Robert, I just started working on the major scale lessons and i have a question about the difference between sound slice and Guitar pro 7. Is there a benefit in buying GP7 rather than just using Sound Slice to practice the Lessons?

Thanks.

Yes, there certainly are benefits. First one being that you can edit a file however you like. I don't mean you need to edit my files.. but your own files. Point being, that you can create your own files. It's an excellent way to keep track of licks and ideas over time.

Another benefit is that there are thousands of free songs available on the Internet in Guitar Pro format. Google it, download and play it back.

It also functions as multi track tool. You can have several tracks, each with a different instrument. In other words, it can work as a composing tool.

A drawback is that the sounds are lame. With Soundslice, you hear my recorded guitar tone. With Guitar Pro, you are stuck with the sound libraries available, which in my opinion are quite anemic sounding.

I'm sure there are more benefits/drawbacks, but these came to mind as I started typing. 🙂
