Major Pentatonic 3 notes per string

Most of us learn the pentatonic scale using the box system – 2 notes per string & 5 boxes. However, that’s not the only way. Here’s a lesson on using 3 notes per string. Why do this? Well, it helps you visualize the notes horizontally on the fretboard. It’s also a great way to create connections between the 5 boxes. Try this if you feel stuck in the pentatonic boxes!
