Hi, here is Birgit. I’m a newbie and this is my very first recording in Audacity, phew!

I have the same problems, Sandie had in the past. I have a hard time, too, to get the tone without noise and hum. I have to learn a lot about sound mixing, too. And I know I’ve still got a lot to learn to improve my guitar playing. But I love it.

I would be very grateful for comments and hints to improve my playing and recording.

Thanks Birgit

Congratulations!  That first recording can be daunting and nerve wracking.  This is a big step in growth, taking time to listen back, learning both recording skills and playing skills.  Keep the drill and in short time you will hear and feel big returns on your efforts!

Thank you all.

By the way, Sandie is a model here for me because without her presentations of her recordings, I had never dared to present my first recording. She gave me the strength to overcome my fears. And now I will keep on learning and playing and recording.

I’m currently learning Robert’s 12 bar blues in A (easy). Such a beautiful song.

Thanks Birgit

Nice job, Birgit! I am so happy you posted this! You had a nice tone here, and some sweet notes happening. Keep learning the easy blues solo, and don't worry about playing the whole solo. Try at first with just one lick at a time, and then the first two, then the first three, etc, together. Keep building slowly, only you feel ready and confident enough.

You are on the right track. Keep doing this and you will improve faster than you think.

Thank you Robert for your encouraging words. I will proceed learning the solo as you suggested.

Thanks Birgit
